FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUGUST 27, 2014

BRENTWOOD, TENN., PharmPsych.com’s essential features are undergoing growing pains as its executive and management team extend the online magazine’s and medical portal’s offerings with more content this year.

In coming days, the health-oriented website will boast more updated editorial material with more press releases in its Press & Newsroom section and fresher material for its “Ask a Pharmacist” advice column, “Health & Life” wire service articles, its “Our Take” professional opinion page and its “Forum” chatroom.

For its medical study and practice tools, PharmPsych.com’s webmaster team will upgrade the “Diseases and Conditions,” “Medications,” “Resources,” “Study Guides,” “Medical Calculators,” “Drug Interaction Checker,” and “Videos” sections.

Particularly, under the “Medications” category, a piece appears online about beta blocker patient education counseling to instruct practitioners and clinicians on how to recommend the best course of actions for patients who are taking drugs that contain this element. It was added this month (August 2014).

The “Health & Life” section contains a stream of wire service articles daily after the team tapped into Kaiser News Network’s servings this month. Topics run the gamut from rapid changes in senior home health care and long-term care to a transgendered woman’s use of Obamacare.

Additionally, the team is posting volunteer openings for a health/medical/pharmacy writer, a legal pharmacy contributor, a financial planning writer, a continuing education specialist, a natural medicine specialist, a medical parody cartoonist and a medical parody videographer for PharmPsych.com’s “Career Opportunities” section. They will also advertise for a volunteer grantwriter for TutorforGood.org.

The company’s founder and CEO and its Managing Editor, F. Zaria Chinelo, PharmD, said she is pleased with the changes and anticipates more as the fiscal year progresses.

Chinelo is an artist, scientist, and entrepreneur. She possesses six years of experience in teaching education, and web development. Chinelo holds dual degrees in molecular biology and general chemistry. After being hired by Vanderbilt University, she led urban students to academic success before starting the nonprofit Felicity Motivational Group. She has been honored as a National Merit Scholar and by Texas Instruments for her achievements.
