Prevacid Treats Stomach Conditions;May Lead to Stomach, Blood Woes

Prevacid, also known generically as Lansoprazole, treats digestive and gastrointestinal conditions such as increased stomach acid, inflammation of the esophagus, ulcers or heartburn.

Side effects include diarrhea, itching, rash, dizzy, change in appetite, urge to vomit, stomach cramps, or head pain.

Severe ones include incomplete or infrequent bowel movements; abnormal heart rhythm; decrease of all cells in the blood; acute infection of the nose, throat or sinus; acute inflammation of the pancreas; allergies affecting the sinuses, nose or throat; angina; anxiety; broken bone; candida fungus infection of the mouth, skin, nails or vagina; unemptied bladders; cataracts; clostridium difficile-bacteria related colitis; cough; decreased blood platelets; decreased white blood cells; deficiency of granulocytes, a type of white blood cells; depression; erythema multiforme; flu-like symptoms; gallstones; hemolytic anemia; hepatitis and increased pressure in eyes.
